DIAZ AND HILTON FIGHT TO SAVE ELEPHANT


Hollywood beauties CAMERON DIAZ and reality TV star PARIS HILTON are teaming up to help an African elephant retire in style.
FLORA, 21, has been the star of her own travelling CIRCUS FLORA since leaving Africa after poachers killed her mother for ivory when she was just three and is currently residing in a temporary home at MIAMI ZOO in Flori da.
Diaz, Hilton, CHRISTINA APPLEGATE, HILARY DUFF and SHANNON ELIZABETH have raised $70,000 (GBP 36,842) towards the $200,000 (GBP 105,263) needed to fund Flora`s retirement at the ELEPHANT SANCTUARY in Hohenwald, Tennessee.
The actresses have been sporting t-shirts sporting a photo of the cute mammals.
CHARLIE`S ANGELS star Diaz is so enamoured with Flora, she reportedly sleeps with a framed photo of the creature beside her bed.
Flora`s publicist CASSANDRE LA FRANCE says, "They automatically clicked because they`re both entertainers."

AMERICAN PIE star SHANNON ELIZABETH begged ASHTON KUTCHER not to make her the subject of his MTV show PUNK`D - after discovering she was to be his next victim.
After finding out his plans while appearing alongside him in American sitcom THAT 70s SHOW, Elizabeth convinced Kutcher she wouldn`t enjoy the experience.
She says, "I heard that it was planned and it was just a situation that wouldn`t have worked well. I would have gotten crazy, which is why it was nixed."

AMERICAN PIE beauty SHANNON ELIZABETH was left exhausted after filming a segment on popular show MTV CRIBS - because she had to work overtime to make her house look presentable.
The sexy actress admits she slaved away for hours to get her California abode in good order for the property showcasing programme earlier this year (03) - but she was still left disappointed with the outcome.
Elizabeth, who shares the home with her husband JOSEPH D REITMAN, says, "It was a lot of work getting the house together for that. We weren`t quite ready.
"As soon as they were done filming, it all went to shambles again. We had junk rooms - it all goes in that room!
"Some of the rooms we worked on the hardest they ended up cutting and didn`t even show. We were like, `We spent all day on that room!`"

Sexy actress SHANNON ELIZABETH is making preparations for motherhood - by eyeing a career in TV shows.
The AMERICAN PIE beauty recently enjoyed her first regular TV gig in a
recurring spot on ASHTON KUTCHER`s sitcom THAT `70S SHOW, and has since
decided that the easy working schedule would be ideal for when she`s ready to
start having children.

experience on the show, "The hours are amazing. It`s so much fun and I loved
doing it. I`m really hoping to do more of it.
"I love doing film, but the hours of TV are so unbelievable and I think for anybody
that wants to have a family, it`s the perfect place where you could still work and
you can go home to your family and you can get other things done during the day.
"One day I`m gonna want that so it would be nice to be able to work through it
and be on a sitcom like this."

BROOKE SHIELDS is the latest star to sign for a guest stint on ASHTON KUTCHER`s hit TV hit THAT `70S SHOW.
The former SUDDENLY SUSAN star will play the long-lost mother to MILA
KUNIS` character JACKIE.
Shields` character will suddenly return to town after having left her child a
number of years earlier.
The three episodes are expected to hit American TV screens in February (04).

DAWSON`S CREEK star JOSHUA JACKSON is poised to terrify fans of the hit TV drama - he`s signed up for a role in WES CRAVEN`s new horror movie CURSED.
Singer MYA has also joined the all-star cast of PORTIA DE ROSSI, CHRISTINA RICCI, SHANNON ELIZABETH and SCOTT FOLEY in the film, which will finally begin shooting this month (NOV03) after the project was put on hold so
movie bosses could plan more special effects and develop the finale.
But the changes have forced producers to axe cameo roles from former child stars COREY FELDMAN and SCOTT BAIO.
Cursed - which sees the SCREAM team of Craven and writer KEVIN WILLIAMSON reuniting - tells the story of a werewolf attack which unites three strangers who must fight for survival against the beast and its curse.

The horror film, which stars SHANNON ELIZABETH and CHRISTINA RICCI, originally had such stars as COREY FELDMAN and SCOTT BAIO cast in it - but now bosses have stepped in to replace a number of the signed actors.
And AMERICAN PIE beauty Elizabeth admits she now has no idea who she`ll be working with.
She says, "It`s been crazy with the movie, because there have been a lot of changes to the script, and there has been some recasting.
"I know for sure that Christina Ricci is still in the film - she has one of the main roles. Mya and Portia de Rossi and Josh Jackson just signed on for supporting roles a few days ago."

Biography
Shannon Elizabeth was born on September 7, 1973 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of a Syrian/Lebanese father and a mother also of mixed decent (Cherokee Indian). Soon after Shannon was born, her family moved to Waco, Texas, where most her family already lived. As a child, Shannon took dance lessons, including tap, ballet and many other forms. While attending High School, however, she was very interested in tennis. She even considered going pro, and making tennis her life. Also during high school, she was active in cheerleading, volleyball, and student council treasurer. As a senior, Shannon did some modeling in New York, and even got herself an agent. After graduating, she went to Tokyo, Japan, Milan, Hong Kong, and various other places to model. After coming back to America, she did some Ford Modeling for a while, and also worked with Elite Agency. She also showed a passion for acting, and began to take classes. She has definately succeded in the acting industry also, her most recent projects include American Pie (1999) and its sequel, American Pie 2 (2001), Scary Movie (2000) and _*Seamless: Kidz Rule (1999)_ .
