RUSSELL CROWE`s 2003 wedding to DANIELLE SPENCER has topped a new poll of extravagant Hollywood weddings.
The couple`s April (03) nuptials on his ranch estate in Australia beat out MATT LE BLANC`s May (03) ceremony on holiday isle Kauai, Hawaii, and JESSICA SIMPSON and NICK LACHEY`s fairytale Texas ceremony to top the list in American magazine IN TOUCH.
Crowe`s wedding ceremony was picked number one because the romantic GLADIATOR star built his own chapel and he showed up with his groomsmen on HARLEY DAVIDSON motorbikes.

LACHEY LANDS TV PILOT


Pop singer-turned-reality TV hero NICK LACHEY can add sitcom star to his resume, after signing up to play an errand boy in GINA GERSHON`s new comedy series.
Lachey, who is married to JESSICA SIMPSON, has been cast in the pilot for HOT MAMMA, in which BOUND beauty Gershon will also star as a wedding planner and single mother.
The 30-year-old will play a struggling actor who runs errands for Gershon`s character, her daughter and their housekeeper in exchange for free rent.
Along with the sitcom, Lachey has also teamed with his wife for a variety special, which will air next month (APR04).
Meanwhile, Simpson has a sitcom pilot in the works too - she will play a ditzy news reporter in STARRING JESSICA SIMPSON AS...JESSICA SAMPSON.

THE NEWLYWEDS star was the girl her pals turned to during fashion crises.
Best pal STEPHANIE MAGUIRE, who accompanies Simpson on her tours and appearances, says, "She was the first person who ever put make-up on me.
She`s the first person who ever did my nails.
"When I had a school dance, I`d go over to her house and she`d dress me up and do my hair and my make-up and send me on my way.
"If she didn`t sing, she would have gone to cosmetology school."

insist their collaborations will never be on the big screen.
