Hollywood star DREW BARRYMORE wishes she could get married for the first time again - as she would love to call boyfriend FABRIZIO MORETTI her only husband.
The 50 FIRST DATES actress, 29 - who unions with JEREMY THOMAS and TOM GREEN ended in divorce - would love to turn back time so any future nuptials with THE STROKES drummer would be her first taste of married life.
Barrymore laments, "Whenever the subject (of marriage) comes up, I feel like a child who`s just burned down a house.
"There`s a couple who I recently found out were getting married (for the first time), and I looked at my boyfriend and thought, `Wow, I wish I had never done that so I could do that with you.`
"There`s a line that`s crossed when you fail in a marriage.
"You could be married for three to six months, which is what I did, and when it doesn`t work out you feel like such a horrible, miserable failure.
That`s the negative extreme."
However Barrymore does see the positive side to being married and how it can make a couple feel "invincible".
She adds, "The thing I respect most about a couple is whether they can work on their problems and stay together.
"It doesn`t matter to me if you`re married or not; I just value consistency."

MICHAEL DOUGLAS, RENEE ZELLWEGER, COURTENEY COX and DREW BARRYMORE are among a host of stars backing GEORGE CLOONEY`s dad`s bid to launch a political career.
Kentucky Democrat NICK CLOONEY, a former news anchor and newspaper columnist, raised nearly $500,000 (GBP 277,700) in the first three months of this year, according to reports filed with the FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION - and a good chunk of the cash came from Hollywood stars.
ER star NOAH WYLE and film-makers HARVEY and BOB WEINSTEIN of MIRAMAX also gave to the brother of late singer ROSEMARY CLOONEY.
Nick Clooney raised more money in the quarter ending 31 March (04) than the three Republican candidates combined.
Clooney hopes to succeed Democratic incumbent KEN LUCAS, who is retiring after three terms representing the 4th Congressional District, which snakes along the Ohio river and includes much of the northern Kentucky suburbs near Cincinnati.

The 50 FIRST DATES star, 29, believes in looking at the sunnier side of life and refuses to be influenced by the cynicism that pervades the film business.
She says, "Everybody has things in life that pull at them and make them cynical, jaded and unhappy. You have to fight those things off like a dragon in a lair with fire breath.
"I have totally emotional days. I cry. I get insecure. I get PMS, weirded out, like doomed and tragic. I`m human like everyone else."
As for high drama in Barrymore`s life, she prefers to leave that to her acting.
She explains, "I always wanted to be one of those really dramatic people who was in bed for three weeks and would have all my friends rescue me and say, `We`re so worried about you.`
"But I can`t. I can`t even last an hour in my bed. I have to get out there and live."

And the 29-year-old star admits she can`t wait to have a family Christmas with her own kids.
She says, "My children are going to suffer through the holidays.

Bosses at American network ABC have decided the seventies programme needs an update for the new millennium.
However, the new series will feature three new Angels, and not the movies` stars, DREW BARRYMORE, LUCY LIU and CAMERON DIAZ.

DREW BARRYMORE has no regrets over her two failed marriages - as they taught her to "trust her instincts".
The CHARLIE`S ANGELS star, 29, learnt a lot from her nuptials with bar owner JEREMY THOMAS and comedian TOM GREEN - giving her a different perspective on tying the knot.
Barrymore says, "I wouldn`t be the person I am today if I hadn`t had those experiences.
"My first marriage was a big joke. It taught me to trust my instincts. I had to do something - like get married - to learn that."
Barrymore married Thomas at the tender age of 19 - divorcing him a month later, while her second marriage to Green lasted only five months.
She adds, "It made me look at marriage differently and I feel the institution hasn`t evolved as life has. I`m forever learning."
As for walking down the aisle soon with boyfriend FABRIZIO MORETTI of THE STROKES, Barrymore adds, "I`m not sure yet.
"I respect that we have a tremendous amount of freedom to do what we want.
"I have no aversion to any situation that`s healthy and beautiful."
