ZETA-JONES AND DOUGLAS` DREAM HOME DELAYED:
Hollywood couple CATHERINE ZETA JONES and MICHAEL DOUGLAS` custom built house in Wales has hit problems - after builders made a series of blunders.
The $1.8 million (GBP 1 million) home is being built in Zeta-Jones` native Mumbles, but plans to move into the house have had to be delayed after a string of mistakes.
Included in the problems are a garage too small to accommodate Zeta-Jones`
dad`s car, windows and doors having to be sent back to America because they were the wrong type and the scrapping of all the radiators in the house in favour of underfloor heating after Catherine voiced her disapproval at their placement.
A source tells British newspaper THE SUN, "Things aren`t going smoothly at all.
It`s going to be a big job to rebuild the garage."

ZETA GETS CHEAP:
Multi-millionairess CATHERINE ZETA JONES has stunned neighbours near her new Welsh mansion - by kitting out the house in cheap furniture.
The CHICAGO OSCAR winner and her husband MICHAEL DOUGLAS have been building the lavish property in the village of Mumbles, where Catherine grew up.
But instead of dipping into their huge combined fortune, the TRAFFIC couple have opted to buy bargains from British furniture stores ARGOS and MFI.
One purchase by Zeta was a $5,040 (GBP 2,800) yellow MFI kitchen, which stunned builders when it was fitted recently.
A source tells British tabloid THE SUN, "The builders were expecting craftsmen to fit something like a luxury kitchen made of oak.
"A couple of blokes fitted it in a couple of days and it looks okay. It`s just not what you would expect from people who live such a luxury lifestyle."

ROBERTS FEUDS WITH ZETA-JONES OVER CLOTHING:
Hollywood rivals JULIA ROBERTS and CATHERINE ZETA JONES are reportedly feuding over who gets the best outfits in upcoming movie sequel OCEAN`S TWELVE.
The OSCAR winners reportedly fell out on the set of 2001 comedy AMERICA`S SWEETHEARTS - and are now battling it out on the sequel to 2001 heist thriller OCEAN`S ELEVEN.
Roberts - who starred in the first film - is alleged to have exploded after discovering Zeta-Jones` more glamorous wardrobe.
An onset source tells British newspaper the DAILY MIRROR, "Julia didn`t like the clothing she was to wear, especially when she got a look at the gorgeous stuff Catherine had lined up."
Roberts has also reportedly insisted producers change the script so her character - the girlfriend of GEORGE CLOONEY`S DANNY OCEAN - isn`t pregnant, because she didn`t want to carry an unflattering bump.

Hollywood star CATHERINE ZETA JONES has taken her recent privacy battle defeat badly - she`s threatening to take the dispute to the British High Court.
The OSCAR-winner had challenged a planning application by her neighbor in Swansea, Wales to run his telecommunications business from his home, claiming it would invade the privacy of the $1.8 million (GBP 1 million) property she is having custom built.
However, local council officials passed STEVE GWYNN`s proposal last week (19MAR04) - and now Zeta-Jones is threatening to appeal to the High Court over the decision.
If she does go ahead, the 34-year-old may have give evidence in court.

ZETA-JONES LOSES PROPERTY COURT CASE:
Movie beauty CATHERINE ZETA JONES has failed in her bid to prevent a businessman from running his company close to her new home in Swansea, Wales.
The OSCAR winner was furious when she discovered STEVE GWYNN planned to run his telecommunications business near her lavish property, and had gained permission to use a garage which is situated on the same estate as her house.
In an effort to convince councillors to halt Mr Gwynn`s plans, Catherine and husband MICHAEL DOUGLAS fired off an angry letter stating, "We bought the land on the clear understanding it would be private, prestigious, exclusive and safe."
They also argued that the business would bring unwanted traffic to the land, situated in the village of Mumbles.
But councilor DES THOMAS says, "If they wanted peace and security, why didn`t they buy somewhere else in a place like Llandelio."
And following a protracted battle Gwynn - who pointed out that star-spotting tourists would bring more traffic to the area than his company - was granted a two year extension on his current contract.
